Our Exploitation

Since 1930…

Since 1930, my grandfather Henri JOLY and his brother-in-law Alfred GODINAT settled down in a family with
4000 kg press, vinified their champagne, marketing it with difficulty at that time. Also in Festigny, it was in 1947
that my grandfather bought a farm that belonged to Benedictine monks of the 17th century, directly linked to the
famous monk Dom Pérignon.

Winemaker for 5 generation, 70 years later, following our Union, winegrowers, we install in 2000 one press,
a winery for the A.O.C champagne. For have a good quality of pressing, winemaking of unique terroir and
marketinof our various champagne cuvées under the brand “Patrice GUAY “and “GUAY-QUIGNOT “,we
instal in 2005 a second press.

Today, the farm represents 7 hectares of vineyard which 70% Meunier, 5% Pinot Noir and 25% Chardonnay.
Our son Thomas, 19 years old, is at the viticulture school in order to take over the domaine, which will
allow him as a Harvester Manipulating.

Our philosophy is the expression of one terroir, our terroir ” Flagot Valley”, which contemplates our domain.
Little suggar and ageing in the cellar as traditional methods for have good quality and consistency champagnes
only produced and derived from our grapes.
