Our Domain

Since 1930…

Since 1930, my grandfather Henri JOLY and his brother-in-law Alfred GODINAT settled down in a family with 4000 kg press, vinified their champagne, marketing it with difficulty at that time.

Also in Festigny, it was in 1947 that my grandfather “Charlemagne Guay” bought a farm that belonged the Benedictine monks of the 17th century, directly linked to the famous monk Dom Pérignon.

GENERATION

In the year 2 000 we installed a 4 000kg press and a winery for the A.O.C Champagne. For have a good quality of pressing, winemaking of unique terroir, and marketing our different cuvees of Champagne under the brands “Patrice GUAY’ and “GUAY-QUIGNOT”, a second press was added to enhance our facilities in 2005.

Thomas GUAY joined the family estate in 2025 after obtaining a marter2 degree in vine, wine and terroir sciences.  6 generation continues the family lineage, ready to write its story on a new page with new ideas.

VINEYARD

Our roots in Champagne connect us to this land and its history.  Always the terroir of the monks of Festigny, Thomas expanded the Estate. Still as a grower-producer, the Domain represents 12 hectares of vineyards which 85% of Pinot Meunier, 14% of Chardonnay and 1% of Pinot Noir. For several years, we have been working in respect of nature, and our environnemental pratices are recognized through these 2 certifications : HVE & VDC.

INDEPENDENT WINEGROWER

Our philosophy is the expression of one terroir, our terroir “Flagot Valley“, which contemplates our domain. Little suggar and ageing in the cellar as traditionnal methods for have good quality and consistency champagnes only produced and derived from our grapes.
